A re-invention of the classic Flexible Flyer sled, the Hammerhead blends the mood and imagination of bygone eras with modern technology, functionality, and styling. The Hammerhead sports an ergonomically designed chassis that feels like an extension of your body, almost as though your torso is gliding directly along the snow (but warmer). The result is Ferrari-class handling and Cadillac-class comfort, even on the most challenging winter surfaces. The precision-engineered aluminum frame, patented steering system, interchangeable skis, and revolutionary suspension fabric seating, meanwhile, are designed to accommodate everything from rugged terrain to novice pilots. You can even use the Hammerhead at ski areas thanks to its precise steering mechanism and topnotch suspension system.

The Hammerhead supports a myriad of cool accessories, including headlights and taillights for riding at night, mirrors for viewing others on the slope, a backrest for comfort, a cargo net, a reflector tape, and whatever else you can dream up. Sledders can buy many of the accessories from CherryMax Sleds--the manufacturer of the Hammerhead--or they can use bike components, which snap easily to the Hammerhead's standard tube size. Perhaps best of all, the Hammerhead weighs less than 10 pounds, so you can almost toss it back up the hill for the next ride. Certainly it's because the sharp 60° carbide inserts are buried deep into the bar and brazed in on 4 facets (instead of just 2 or 3) to keep them put.
